If you want to do more than look at your score and listen to the midi files that you download from Cyberbass, we recommend that you download the free Sibelius demo file. Sibelius or midi files will play either on the Sibelius Demo, a free application. Both have a moving vertical bar, which allows you to follow the music as it plays. The Sibelius Demo can be accessed via the following links: http://www.sibelius.com/cgi-bin/home/home.pl or http://sibelius.com and can be used on Windows or Mac (you must download the correct version first).

When you open a midi file in Sibelius, simply use "p" to start or stop the "playback." If you open the Mixer box (under the Window Menu), you can accentuate, subdue or mute any channel, allowing you to hear your part best, but still hear the others for timing and note cues. You can also slow down or speed up the music (slide bar to the right of the clock; the tempo is just to the right of the slide bar), as well as return to or move forward to a difficult part, to repeat it several times. You may use the clock to return to your difficult part.
